Travelling to Leicester from abroad

Leicester is conveniently located in the centre of England and is within easy reach of several major airports. There are also direct trains from London St Pancras (1 hour), meaning that you can travel from Brussels or Paris on the Eurostar with just one change of train.

  • Birmingham Airport serves over 180 destinations. There are convenient rail services from Birmingham International to Leicester (~1 hour, 20 minutes, with a change at Birmingham New Street station).
  • London Luton Airport has flights going to several destinations across the globe and there are direct rail services from Luton Airport Parkway station to Leicester (1 hour).
  • East Midlands Airport is the closest airport to the city of Leicester and operates flights to and from several European destinations. There are regular direct buses to the airport direct from Leicester (1 hour).
