The forthcoming Christmas meeting comprises presentations covering a range of subjects that will be of interest to the majority of spectroscopists of differing background, either through direct relevance or through potential applicability. By implication, the meeting will provide an ideal opportunity to learn and exchange ideas in what has become a multi-disciplinary area of science.

NMR Discussion Group Christmas Meeting

Date of meeting:   Wednesday 12th December 2007

Meeting venue:     Institute of Child Health, 30 Guilford Street, London WC1N 1EH

Meeting details and registration form: http://www.rsc.org/images/xmasflyer2007_tcm18-40343.pdf

Dear NMR Spectroscopist,

One of the principal objectives of the NMR Discussion Group is to provide a forum for educating, sharing ideas and promoting recent developments in NMR and related disciplines.  The group continues to provide such opportunities for scientists that work in many different areas associated with magnetic resonance.  This is achieved through, in addition to other means, the popular Christmas meeting.

The forthcoming Christmas meeting comprises presentations covering a range of subjects that will be of interest to the majority of spectroscopists of differing background, either through direct relevance or through potential applicability.  By implication, the meeting will provide an ideal opportunity to learn and exchange ideas in what has become a multi disciplinary area of science.  The agenda is appended below for your information.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 12th December at the easily accessed Institute of Child Health, London.

A map of the location can be found at:

The Institute of Child Health is within 10 minutes walk of Euston, King's Cross and St Pancras main line stations.  Russell Square on the Piccadilly line (dark blue) and Holborn on the Piccadilly and Central lines (red) are the nearest underground stations, and are within walking distance.

If you would like to attend please complete and send the registration form, together with the correct remittance, to Dr Harry Parkes at the given address. The registration form may be found at:

http://www.rsc.org/images/xmasflyer2007_tcm18-40343.pdf

All cheques should be made payable to the ‘NMRDG’ and received before Saturday 1st December.  If you are a student or a retired member, then a concessionary rate will apply.  Should you not wish to attend the meeting, but would like to continue receiving information about NMRDG activities, it is important that you provide your contact details by returning the registration form with the relevant sections completed.

Following the buffet lunch there will be a short period for NMRDG business, which includes the election of new committee members. This year there will be two vacancies on the committee and should you wish to nominate anyone a section is included on the meeting registration form. Please address any questions regarding serving on the committee to the Chairman of the NMRDG (see http://www.rsc.org/nmrdg). The deadline for nominations is Saturday 1st December 2007.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Stephen Byard
